2nd Chances for Dog The Bounty Hunter

Posted: 20 Feb 2008 08:34 AM CST

Honolulu based bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman has received amnesty from A&E after the network pulled his reality TV show off the air following his use of a nasty racial slur toward his son's then African American girlfriend three months ago.

I think this sort of thing falls in line with the recent Jane Fonda slip.  I think people have become so loose with their lips they don’t realize the impact their words will have on a much broader audience.

I don’t think people should be crucified for their choice of words as such, but certainly they should be called on the carpet, issue a heartfelt apology and placed in a position that makes them more cautious of the words they choose.

Do you think A&E should be giving Dog a second chance?  Am I off base here?  If so, why?

Lohan Blames ‘This Industry’ for Ledger’s Death

Posted: 19 Feb 2008 07:23 PM CST

In the new issue of New York magazine, Lindsay Lohan, poses for a recreation of “The Last Sitting,” the last series of photos of Marilyn Monroe.

Lohan calls Monroe’s suicide “tragic,” adding, “you know, it’s also tragic what just recently happened to someone else.”  When asked if she was referring to Ledger, Lohan replied, “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone.”

From the outside looking in, it’s easy to see how those who live in glass houses are drawn up into a world of substance abuse and we’re also able to serve up advice on how to avoid being drawn into such a tragic existence.

What do you think is the primary culprit in so many celebrities being sucked into a such a destructive lifestyle?

We’ve seen it happen for years - with Marilyn Monroe, River Phoenix, John Belushi, Elvis… Where does it end?  Or does it?

Pink’s Marriage Hit’s The Skids

The pop-punk princess, Pink and her husband of two short years, the motocross-racing, Surreal Life-starring Carey Hart, have separated.

Rumors of a rift between the unconventional couple, who split their time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, first began last August.

I really hate to see this couple split, but then again, I hate to see any couple split.

I heart Pink!

Christina Aguilera and baby Max are on this week’s People magazine cover. Reports say she scored as much as $2 million for the exclusive shot.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden aren’t far behind. People placed a winning bid of $1 million on their daughter Harlow, according to Gawker.com.

Brangelina celebuspawn Shiloh still holds the title of highest paid cover kid. Parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got People to fork over $4.1 million to run the girl on a June 2006 cover, with the money going to African children’s charities.

When Shiloh’s big brother, Pax, made People’s cover, the price tag was reportedly half that of Shiloh at $2 million.

NY Daily News has a complete list of other celebrity tots who are raking in the big bucks.
