She was the people’s Princess - This is the people’s loss Posted: 07 Apr 2008 07:59 PM CDT It’s been over 10 years since the fatal crash that took the life of one of the worlds most beloved figures. Since that time, the public has shared in speculation as to what actually happened that tragic night.
Today the verdict handed down by a coroner’s jury was surprising only in its failure to say much that everyone didn’t already know: Princess Diana and her lover, Dodi Fayed, died because they were being driven under hot pursuit at high speed by a drunk driver. It certainly doesn’t seem as if it’s been 10 years. I remember the instant I got word of the crash. My heart stopped and I began to cry. The world had lost one of the very best. Diana truly was The People’s Princess and by that I mean, all people. |
Madonna and Guy Ritchie to adopt from India Posted: 07 Apr 2008 06:52 PM CDT Madonna and Guy Ritchie have reportedly abandoned plans to adopt a second child from Malawi because they are simply "exhausted" by the effort of adopting son David - and are now thinking of adopting a child from India.
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie took their older children Lourdes and Rocco, along with David, to Jaipur at the start of the year and are said to have met up with Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, who told her about the amount of children in need of adoption in the country. A source told the Sun: "Madonna was very taken with Sandip. He told her there were orphans who would melt her heart. Guy was against the idea, but when she wants something, she gets it." "Guy thought Madonna was mad to want to go through it all again. He has always been unsure about adoption as his own mother was adopted and had negative experiences of that." "But they talked and talked and decided adopting a baby from India would be easier." Source: Sun |
