Elizabeth Hurley Gives Up Acting for Son

Posted: 10 Mar 2008 06:13 AM CDT

Elizabeth Hurley is quitting acting for her son. The ex-girlfriend of Hugh Grant insists that she is giving up doing films because being a mother and an actress at the same time is impossible.

Damian, who was born on April 4, 2002, is Hurley’s child with film director Stephen Bing. The multi-millionaire director used to deny his involvement with the child, which prompted Hurley have her son undergo paternity tests which later would prove Bing the father.

It’s admirable to see a high profile celebrity stepping down for the sake of their child.  So many try to maintain both lifestyles which normally ends up having a nanny raise the child.

Matt Damon and Luciana Pregnant Again

Matt Damon, 37 and his wife Luciana, 32 are expecting another baby. This is the third child for the family. Daughter Isabella was born in June 2006, and Luciana has a 9-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.

This is quite possibly one of my favorite Hollywood love stories.  It’s my understanding that Luciana was a cocktail waitress when the pair met.

Talk about a real Cinderella story!

Eva Longoria Receives Cartier Necklace From Not Tony

I’ve had some pretty good guy friends in my day, but none of them have ever given me expensive gifts - even the ones who could have afforded it.  I suppose it’s mostly because I would feel beholding in some way. I have to wonder if Eva isn’t beholding to Mario for his gestures.

Who’s a lucky girl? Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker received an expensive gift from pal Mario Lopez as the two lunched together in Hollywood.

With her basket ball star husband Tony Parker away on work duties, Eva, 33, joined Mario for an outdoor lunch at Café Med in LA.

Dancer and TV presenter Lopez turned up with a gold necklace in a Cartier bag for the already pampered Hollywood star.

An attentive Mario hopped out his seat to help Eva put the gold necklace on, and she seemed pretty pleased with the spontaneous gesture.

Men who are in platonic relationships do NOT buy women expensive gifts - especially jewelry!

What do you think?  Is the necklace a friendly gesture or is it more a F*** Buddy gift?

Brangelina Planning Birth in Texas

Posted: 09 Mar 2008 11:45 AM CDT

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are planning to give birth to their next baby in Texas after recently relocating to a 270 acre ranch near the rural town of Smallsville while Brad is filming his latest movie - “The Tree of Life.” They moved last month and piqued the interest of the locals. According to a resident “I saw two huge vans, loaded with every toy and child-sized car and truck you could imagine.”

As for wedding plans for the high profile couple?  Rumor has it, the wedding plans have been postponed following the couple’s argument over the details of the ceremony.

Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Inked

Posted: 09 Mar 2008 11:26 AM CDT

Gwyneth Paltrow is embracing body art and ink as a way of showing her dedication and commitment to hubby Chris Martin of Coldplay.  The actress recently had the letter “C” tattooed on her hip where it can easily be hidden.  Unlike the Beckham’s who seem to be all inked up over one another.  The Oscar-winning actress got inked at a boutique in London’s Selfridges store.

Sources are saying this should end increased speculation that all is not well between Chris and Gwyneth after five years of marriage.

The couple have spent a lot of time apart while Chris recorded Coldplay’s fourth album - which was finished in New York at the start of the year.

While I’ve gotten inked a couple of times myself, the tats are much more symbolic then anything.  I don’t think people should brand themselves or ink themselves with a person’s name.  Especially in a time when taking the vows of forever can mean as little as months.

What do you think? Should people ink themselves for one another or do it entirely on their own in a way that doesn’t brand them to one person?
